Cookies
Most cookie policies describe categories in the abstract and leave you none the wiser. This one lists the actual cookies, what each is for, who sets it and how long it lasts, so you can check the tables against your own browser and see that they match.
Last updated 26 September 2026. Read alongside our privacy policy, which covers everything we do with personal data.
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise your device on the next request. Related technologies — local storage, pixels, tracking scripts — do much the same job by different means, and the law treats them the same way. Where this page says “cookie”, it covers all of them.
Cookies set by this domain are called first-party. Cookies set by another company whose script runs on our pages are third-party, and that company decides what it does with them.
The law here is not complicated. Cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for do not need your permission. Everything else does, and permission has to be given actively — continuing to browse is not consent, and we do not treat it as such.
You can accept or refuse the non-essential categories when the banner appears, and change your mind at any time afterwards. Refusing them costs you nothing: the shop, your bag, checkout and your account all work exactly the same.
Your choice is stored per browser and per device, so a new device asks again. Change it here:
These run whatever you choose, because without them the site cannot do what you came for. They carry no advertising value to anyone.
| Cookie | What it does | Set by | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| wp_woocommerce_session_* | Links your browser to your shopping bag and checkout on our server | Us | 2 days |
| woocommerce_cart_hash | Tells the site the contents of your bag have changed so totals refresh | Us | Session |
| woocommerce_items_in_cart | Lets the page know the bag is not empty | Us | Session |
| cmplz_banner-status | Remembers that you have answered the cookie banner, so it stops asking | Us | 1 year |
| cmplz_consented_services | Records which specific services you agreed to | Us | 1 year |
| cmplz_functional, cmplz_preferences, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_marketing | Record your answer for each category. We are required to keep evidence of consent, which is why refusing still sets a cookie | Us | 1 year |
| cmplz_policy_id | Notes which version of this policy you saw, so you are asked again if it materially changes | Us | 1 year |
| __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Fraud prevention on payment. Without these a card payment cannot be risk-checked and would be refused | Stripe | 1 year / 30 minutes |
Not essential, but they make the shop less annoying.
| Cookie | What it does | Set by | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| woocommerce_recently_viewed | Remembers which products you looked at so we can show them again | Us | Session |
These tell us how people arrived and which pages work, in aggregate. We do not use them to build a profile of you as an individual.
| Cookie | What it does | Set by | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| ef24_v | A random identifier so the shop can suggest products based on what you have looked at. It is not linked to your name, and nothing is recorded unless you accept analytics | Us | 6 months |
| sbjs_first, sbjs_first_add | Records the source that first brought you to the site, and when | Us (Sourcebuster, part of WooCommerce) | 6 months |
| sbjs_current, sbjs_current_add | Records the source of your current visit | Us | 6 months |
| sbjs_session | Counts pages viewed in this visit | Us | 30 minutes |
| sbjs_udata, sbjs_migrations | Browser and version information used to make the above work | Us | 6 months |
These attach the referral source to an order so we know which channels actually produce sales rather than clicks.
These are set by advertising platforms so they can measure whether an advert led to a purchase, and show you advertising elsewhere. They are the ones people mind about, so they are listed individually and named.
| Cookie | What it does | Set by | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Identifies your browser to Meta so a purchase can be matched to an advert on Facebook or Instagram | Meta | 3 months |
| _gcl_au | Attributes a purchase to a Google advert | 3 months | |
| _ttp, _tt_enable_cookie | Identify your browser to TikTok for conversion measurement | TikTok | 13 months |
| ttcsid, ttcsid_* | Session identifiers used by the same TikTok measurement | TikTok | 1 year |
| _pin_unauth | Groups your activity for Pinterest advertising measurement | 1 year |
These companies are separate controllers for what they do with this data. Their own policies govern it: Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest.
A few things are kept in your browser’s local storage rather than as cookies. The advertising ones follow the same consent rules as the cookies above. The two chat entries are different: they hold your own conversation on your own device so the window survives you moving between pages, they are written only once you use the chat, and they are never sent anywhere. You can clear any of them the same way.
| Item | What it does | Set by |
|---|---|---|
| ef24bChat | Keeps your chat conversation for a day so the window does not start again every time you change page | Us |
| ef24bLive | Remembers that you are waiting for a person, so a reply still reaches you | Us |
| __paypal_storage__ | Keeps the PayPal button working across pages | PayPal |
| _gcl_ls | Google advertising measurement, equivalent to _gcl_au | |
| _pin_unauth_ls, _pin_aem_ls | Pinterest advertising measurement | |
| lastExternalReferrer, lastExternalReferrerTime | Note which site you came from, for attribution | Meta |
The lifetimes above are the ones documented by whoever sets the cookie. A third party can change its own cookie’s duration without telling us, so treat those figures as the published position rather than a promise we are in a position to make. Your browser will always show you the real expiry date for any cookie it holds.
A cookie marked “session” disappears when you close the browser.
Independently of anything on this site, your browser can block or delete cookies — usually under Settings, then Privacy. You can also browse in a private window, which discards everything at the end of the session.
One honest warning: blocking cookies at browser level is blunt. It will stop the marketing cookies, and it will also stop your shopping bag remembering what is in it, because both arrive by the same mechanism. Using the preferences on this site is the more precise instrument.
Withdrawing consent stops future processing. It does not undo processing that already happened lawfully while consent was in place, and it does not delete data an advertising platform already holds — for that, ask them directly using the links above.
We update this page when the cookies change. Because some are set by third parties who alter their own behaviour from time to time, the tables describe what we observed on the date at the top. If you find a cookie in your browser that is not listed here, tell us and we will investigate and correct the page.
